The importance of cleanliness in our lives cannot be denied. Promoting good hygiene habits does more than protect children from the threat of germs and disease. Maintaining a clean environment is for the health for all humans. English Cursive Handwriting 4 – Clean Surroundings is the perfect book to for children in the age group of 6 to 8 years to understand the importance keeping our surrounding clean while he/she practices cursive writing. This book weaves a story line by line in the form of conversations through the protagonist Amey and his grandmother. Amey takes it upon himself to clean the park in which his grandmother goes for a walk every evening. Below every line, there is sufficient space to practice writing the line in cursive handwriting. After every few lines, there are multiple & innovative activities in the form of personal response questions, crosswords, puzzles, fill in the blanks etc. to give children pointers about dry & wet base, biodegradable & non-biodegradable waste, recycling etc. The book ends with a ‘Environment Awareness Certificate’ for knowing the importance of keeping the surroundings clean and taking part in it. In a nutshell, Cursive Handwriting Book 4 – Clean Surroundings is essentially a cursive handwriting practice book but also talks on the aspects of cleanliness and hygiene which is our first line of defence against viruses and diseases.
